Kinetic for coaches
Coach your clients in Kinetic — no accounts, no logins.
Build a week of runs, lifts, Pilates and rest days. Send one file. Your client taps it and the plan lands in their Planner.
How it works
Three steps. One file.
- 01
Build a week
Plan runs, lifts, Pilates, stretching and rest days in Kinetic's Planner. Or have an AI write the file using the plan-file guide.
- 02
Send one file
Share Plan makes a single .kinetic-plan file. Send it the way you already reach your client: message, email or chat app.
- 03
Your client taps it
Kinetic shows a preview and one tap adds the plan. Send next week's file and the same plan updates, keeping everything they already logged.
Plan builder
Build on the web — free, no account
Lay out the week in your browser, then download the .kinetic-plan file and send it. Nothing to install on your side.
- Saves as you go, on this device only.
- Open a .kinetic-plan file to change a plan you already sent.
- Work in km and kg or mi and lb. Your client sees their own units.
Today's session on Home. The whole week in the Planner.
Targets show in your client's own units, km or mi, kg or lb. Heart-rate zones use the zones in their own Settings, so you never need their numbers.
Every day of your plan, with your notes. A day ticks itself when your client saves that workout in Kinetic.
Reading your client's week
When your client sends the full week from Share My Week, the message can carry a link that starts with kineticpacer.com/r. Open it and the week shows as a report. You can also drop one or more week files on the report page to compare weeks and see trends.
Report files are read in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
The plan-file guide
Write plans by hand, or let an AI do it.
A .kinetic-plan file is plain JSON. The guide lists every key, activity, unit and limit. Here is the short version.
Rather not write JSON?
The plan builder makes the same .kinetic-plan file, free and with no account.
| Key | What it holds | Example |
|---|---|---|
id | Stays the same across files, so a new file updates the plan instead of adding a second one | "0b6f6c1e-5c8b-4a9e-9d3a-000000000001" |
name | Plan name | "5K Build" |
goal | Goal or focus | "5K under 25:00" |
coachName | Optional. Shown as "From Coach Sola" on your client's phone | "Coach Sola" |
entries[] | The days of the plan, an array of entries each with its own date | [{"id":"…","date":"2026-09-28","activity":"running"}] |
date | The day, as a calendar date | "2026-09-28" |
activity | One of the activities listed below | "running" |
cardio | Runs, walks and rides: a time or distance target and one heart-rate zone, or structured intervals | {"target":"time","durationSeconds":1800,"zone":2} |
strength | Lifts: the exercises, each with sets, reps, weight and rest | {"exercises":[…]} |
mindBody | Yoga, Pilates and stretching: guided or timer, and the minutes | {"mode":"guided","focus":"core","durationMinutes":30} |
Short version
- Return one UTF-8 JSON object with format "kinetic-plan" and schemaVersion 1.
- Keep stable UUIDs for the plan, each entry and each exercise when updating.
- Dates are local YYYY-MM-DD; durations are seconds, distances metres, weights pounds.
- Use strength/cardio/mindBody/hiit payloads; rest has none.
- Unknown activities are skipped; invalid known payloads reject the file.
- Structured intervals use step nodes and one level of repeat blocks.
- Guided sessions are 10/20/30/45 minutes; timers are 5–90 in steps of 5.
- Files are at most 1 MiB, 20 plans, 400 entries and 50 exercises per entry.
- Check the file at https://kineticpacer.com/community/validator.
Activities

- Running
- Walking
- Cycling
- HIIT
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Stretching
- Rest
Files always store metres, seconds and pounds, and the plan builder converts for you. If you or your AI write a file by hand, use metres, seconds and pounds. Each client sees them in their own units: 400 m shows as 0.25 mi, 60 kg as 132 lb.
Updating a plan
Keep the same plan id and send a new file. Upcoming days are replaced. Past days and what your client logged stay as they are.
Using an AI?
Paste this with the guide attached.
Build a one-week training plan for my client as a Kinetic .kinetic-plan file. Use the Kinetic plan-file guide: keys, activities, units and limits. Return JSON only.
Open the file in Kinetic and check the preview before you send it to your client.
Questions coaches ask.
Do clients need an account?
No. Your client installs Kinetic and taps the file you send. There is nothing to sign up for, on their side or yours.
Is client data sent to you or to us?
Plans and weeks are files made on the phone. They go only where your client shares them.
Which activities can a plan include?
Strength, Running, Walking, Cycling, HIIT, Yoga, Pilates, Stretching and rest days.
What happens when I send next week's file?
The same plan updates. Upcoming days are replaced, and past days and anything your client logged stay as they are. If your client changed a day you also changed, Kinetic asks them which version to keep.
What does it cost?
Importing and following a plan is free. A checkmark summary of the week is free too; the full Share My Week report is part of Kinetic Pro.
What uses the network?
These pages work in your browser. Only the plan builder's exercise search, and its Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, use the network.
